JB Marketing Group hired for 2009 Festival of Trees PDF Print E-mail
WENATCHEE — After a year hiatus from being the overall administrator for the Festival of Trees, the annual fundraiser for the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee, Jennifer Bushong, owner of JB Marketing Group has been hired to manage the 2009 event.
 
Jennifer Bushong has a long-standing history with the Festival of Trees and the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee. In 1999, Bushong served on the Supporters of the Center Board of Directors and chaired the Promotions Committee for the 1999 Festival of Trees.  In 2001, Bushong was offered the opportunity to develop and manage the Festival of Trees event, which she did until 2007.  In 2008, Bushong served as the Director of Sponsorships, and Live Auction.  JB Marketing Group is a project-based marketing firm specializing in public relations, fundraising and marketing management activity.  In addition to  the Festival, the firm handles a handful of project-based, marketing accounts and events.
 
The 2009 Festival of Trees will be a two-day event held Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 at the Stanley Civic Center.  The Festival features over 100 elaborately-decorated two  to ten-foot trees;  15 of the trees are larger scale and include gifts to be auctioned off at the black tie affair on Saturday, November 21.  The two-day Festival will feature the crownjewel Gala Auction, which includes a festively-decorated Grand Ballroom, silent auction and live auction.
 
The Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee will offer free admission to view the trees on Saturday and Sunday. During this time, the public will be able to bid on silent auction items including the small, 2-foot trees and wreaths. The Gala Auction will feature the larger trees and live auction items. The event will close on Sunday, November 22 in the late afternoon. This scaled down version will enable event producers to focus on the fundraising aspect while still respecting the economic environment.
