It will continue to thrive and add to the economic climate this holiday season,” states Jennifer Bushong, Project Manager for the Festival of Trees. The Festival will train, educate and place the volunteers on the right committee based on experience and longevity with the event. “The best way to learn a new skill or trade is to volunteer,” adds Chris Burke, Event Coordinator. “The Festival works with a vast number of individuals and strong, community leaders. We are always growing this event so we want to encourage new faces and volunteers to be involved. We encourage anyone to apply that has the passion and dedication to volunteer for the arts event,” adds Bushong.
The Festival of Trees mission is “to raise funds and awareness for the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee while celebrating the beginning of the Holiday Season”. The Festival of Trees grossed over $350,000 and attracted over 4,500 people from around Central Washington in 2008.
